Ben Lexcen

Ben Lexcen has been a long standing client of Mana Media’s. We built their original Content Managed Site way back in 2002, and the site and the look and feel of the original has lasted this long (which is great – thats what we want to see, clients getting mileage from their site). Using ROAM to integrate YachtHub was a breeze, and now Ben Lexcen’s Listings are networked.

It was high time though that we overauled the site and upgrade the servers to deal with the latest in development and programming, with a nice new simple design that reflects the New Owner, Greg Massey.

St Mary’s Catholic Church

Our Parish dates back to 1844 when the first Mass was celebrated in a building in Bridge St. by Fr. O’Reily who used to visit once a year from Wellington crossing Cook Strait by row boat.

By 1847 the Catholics had built a little Chapel on Sion Hill at the cost of 40 pounds.

It was in 1850 that we became a Parish in our own right; – this was when our first Parish Priest Fr. Antoine Garin was appointed to Nelson.

Parishioners helped donate money and material for the St Peter & Paul Church at Waimea West in 1855, and St Joseph’s Wakefield in 1870. Both the Motueka and Takaka churches utilised the infamous Takaka Marble for their churches.

The needs of another church for country Parishioners saw St Patrick’s church at Belgrove opened in 1891.

He has managed to "Keep Portland Weird", an insider slogan to those who have never been to Portland Oregon – one of the US most beautiful of all cities.
