Last night, I had the pleasure of meeting Neil Hewett, co-owner and founder of Cooper Creek Wilderness Tours, Cooper Creek – Daintree QLD. I am always inspired by people with a passion for what it is they do, and Neil is no exception. He is the sort of guy you could literally sit and listen to all day and not realise the time passing. His personality, and command for attention just sucks you in, and you can’t help but want to know more about his work.
Neil has a comprehensive Blog and Wiki on his site, both are informative, engaging, enlightening and sometimes, controversial – but it is within this comprehension, you find a love and connection to something that very few will ever feel, let alone – find.
Although I have not personally taken one of his tours, it is on my list of things to do before I return to the USA, and I encourage anyone who is in the Far North, be it on holidays, or someone who lives here, to take the time and meet Neil, Prue and Angie (go to their website www.ccwild.com for details) and learn something in 2 hours that would take a life time to explain.
