iPhone Apps – Best of Gallery

Newon July 22nd, 2010No Comments

Flare:

At first this Web application was completely built in html5+CSS3+Javascript technology. However, unlike a conventional Web application, the look & feel is like a native app itself. There is no spastic screen transition that is common among the Web page; it looks a same as an application written in Object-C, smoothly and briskly.

You were thinking that it might not work without Internet access environment? No problem. MotionFrame works even in AirPlane mode! You can enjoy it in a place where Wifi and the 3G do not reach.

You only have to register once through the home screen to experience the same identical feeling as the native application.

Mortal Kombat

New, Software, Technology, Videoon June 30th, 2010No Comments

You need to install or upgrade Flash Player to view this content, install or upgrade by clicking here.

What can we say? Except Finally, a return to the original MK roots! Check out this promo Video for the prelaunch of Mortal Kombat.  The return of Fatalities is just the best news since …well…MK3 showcased on PS1 and Super NES. New feature, X-Ray Damage, totally cool, each character with its own unique damage direction. Cyrax looks off the hook, and Kung Lao’s Hat Rotator Saw Fatality is “sick” (awesome). The Arena’s of old make a welcomed returned, but tuned up to look how they should have looked had the technology been available 15 years ago.

Now, if only Ed Boone would bring back SubZero of MK3 Fame, then I would be one happy Kombatant.

Mac, New, Software, Technology, iPhoneon April 9th, 2010No Comments

Apple has announced the details of the iPhone’s new operating system, the iPhone OS 4, which will be available to use on Apple iPhones and iPod Touches this summer.

Apple claims that the new operating system will provide more than 100 new features, including iBooks, the new ebook reader and online Apple bookstore that debuted on the Apple iPad. The main feature being “Multitasking”. After attending the online Keynotes today I can’t help but wonder if the lack luster of MAC releases of late, is at the stage where we are no longer impressed and are waiting for something more?

HTML 5: what is it? and what to expect

HTML 5, New, Technologyon April 7th, 2010No Comments

Most of what you hear about HTML 5 is not entirely clear to the layman as to what it means. If anyone can recall the entire leap from standard html to the Web 2 madness, then brace yourself for the next buzz platform for web development…only, this one has far reaching impact on your web presence if you are not prepared for its overtake.

So what is it?

In the shortest possible term, the way we produce sites today still run elements of code that are at least 10 years old, the basic core structure has not changed all that much. HTML 5 will change that completely and this is why we have paid attention to is rise in the development community popularity over the last 12 months.

6 days to Abobe CS 5

New, Photoshop, Software, Technologyon April 6th, 2010No Comments

From what we have seen on the web, CS5 is probably one of the most anticipated releases from Adobe to date. Some of the editing features in Photoshop alone are breath-taking, pretty much what we have wanted for years will now be possible in the new Suite. Major differences: Flash as a stand alone app is no more. Flash Catalyst replaces what used to be Flash CS, and Flex 4 is now the main thrust behind Flashes online delivery Engine. More about this on a separate post.

Photoshop 20 years later

Graphic Design, New, Photoshop, Technologyon March 21st, 2010No Comments

Photoshop has turned 20 years old. One of the pioneering tools for most graphic designers has gone through some major changes since it first hit the stage in the late 80′s. Creators, Thomas Knoll and John Knoll first launched the application, then called “Display” in 1990. A quick name change the following year to Image Pro, then to Photoshop which remains it’s name today.

Photoshop CS5 promises some amazing additions to the suite of tools and effects, and we can’t wait to see its roll out soon. The leading image in this post was created by our Director using techniques common to Photoshop. A stack of layers, brushes and Effects went into creating our “Homage Photoshop in the Can” illustration.

Everyone should get behind this story.

It was with complete anger and utter disgust I read the Cairns Post this morning, there on the front page a heart breaking, and completely unbelievable story surrounding a client and friend of ours, Steve and Sharon Doble, Owners of the Daintree River Train. To read what I am referring to - go here: Hate Campaign targets croc victim’s family. Continue reading “Everyone should get behind this story.” »
